There are five basic states of aluminum plates, namely F, O, H, T, and W. These five states represent five processing processes and stages of aluminum plates. The performance and price of aluminum plates in different states will be very different.

F-state aluminum plate

F state is also called free processing state. The mechanical and chemical properties of F-state aluminum plates are not clearly specified. Customers who purchase F-state aluminum plates generally have special requirements for the performance of aluminum plates. After purchasing, they will perform the required processing hardening and heat treatment themselves to obtain the required mechanical and chemical properties.

O-state aluminum plate

O state is also called complete annealing state. O state has no subdivision state, which refers to aluminum plate products that have only undergone complete annealing and obtained lower strength.

H-state aluminum plate

H state is also called processing hardening state, which represents aluminum plates that have been processed hardened to increase strength. H state has many subdivision states, such as H18 state, followed by 1 and 8. The first digit represents the processing process: 1 is processing hardening, 2 is incomplete annealing after processing, and 3 is low-temperature annealing after processing; the second digit represents the hardness: 1-8, 1 is lower, and 8 is the highest.

T-state aluminum plate

T-state refers to the heat treatment state of the aluminum plate, indicating that the aluminum plate has reached stability after work hardening. T-state has subdivision states, representing different treatment processes, and the states range from T0 to T10. In T-state, Tx51 represents the elimination of internal stress, such as T6 state, after eliminating internal stress, it is expressed as T651.

W-state aluminum plate

W-state refers to the solution heat treatment state. W-state is an unstable state, indicating that the aluminum plate is in natural aging at room temperature after solution treatment. W-state only means that the aluminum plate is in the natural aging stage.
